Find your learning path

PICC training, IV classes, and midline education.

Choose vascular access education that fits the knowledge you want to build. Compare VAC's online courses, read the actual curriculum, and preview the teaching before enrolling.

Which vascular access course fits your goal?

IV therapy, PICC insertion, and midline insertion share foundational concepts, but each course has a different focus. Start with your experience, your role, and the learning plan agreed with your clinical educator. All four pathways below use self-paced online lessons and knowledge checks.

Online PICC and midline education: what to expect

VAC's PICC and midline courses provide structured study of the concepts behind device selection, insertion, and ongoing care. They are separate programs: choose the curriculum that matches your learning goal, or study both when your education plan calls for broader vascular access knowledge.

Online study is one part of procedural education. It does not independently validate hands-on insertion competency. Review your employer's training requirements before enrolling, and arrange appropriate supervised practice and separate competency assessment through your clinical training program.

IV therapy classes for nurses and clinical teams

If you want a broad refresher, IV Therapy Mastery covers peripheral IV fundamentals, insertion, ongoing care, complications, and documentation. If you already have a foundation and want to study ultrasound-guided access specifically, the focused USGPIV course covers vessel identification, transducer handling, and needle-tip tracking concepts.

You can inspect every course's module list before purchasing. Each course page explains its audience, learning objectives, prerequisites, and included material. A free lesson excerpt lets you assess the teaching style; available sample study guides and worksheets help you see how the material supports review.

Build a line-care learning path

Insertion education is only one part of vascular access learning. VAC also offers focused courses in vascular access device care and maintenance, disinfection and CLABSI prevention, catheter occlusion, and vascular access complications.

For more targeted study, explore ECG-guided PICC tip confirmation, phlebotomy, and clinical documentation. Choose topics that fit your responsibilities and the gaps identified by your educator.

Questions about classes and certificates

Are these IV, PICC, and midline classes online?

Yes. The listed VAC courses contain self-paced online lessons and knowledge assessments. In-person clinical supervision and competency sign-off are separate from these online courses.

Do I receive a completion certificate or approved nursing CE?

Passing the required module assessments earns completion certificates. CE approval has not yet been obtained; VAC does not currently award accredited nursing contact hours for these courses. A completion certificate is not a professional license or specialty board certification.

Can I preview a class before paying?

Yes. Each course page links to a real lesson excerpt with no account or payment required. Start with the PICC training preview, IV therapy preview, or midline course preview.

Can our facility build a shared education plan?

Contact VAC about a facility education suite, selected courses, staff assignments, and completion reporting. Use the facility training inquiry form to describe your team's learning goals.
