Martha — AI Vascular Access Educator · iOS app and vaceducation.com · Effective September 2, 2026

1. Who we are

Martha is provided by Vascular Access & Consulting, LLC ("VAC", "we"), Indianapolis, Indiana. These terms apply to the Martha iOS app and Martha on vaceducation.com (together, the "Service").

2. Educational use only — not medical advice

Martha provides educational information and references to published standards (INS Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice, MAGIC, CDC, NKF KDOQI, and others). Martha is not a clinician, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not create a clinician–patient or consultant relationship. Nothing Martha says replaces your own clinical judgment, the ordering provider's orders, your state's nurse practice act, or your facility's policies and procedures, which always control. You are solely responsible for decisions made in the care of patients.

Martha is an AI system and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Verify anything that matters against the primary source and your facility's policy before acting on it.

3. Who may use Martha

The Service is intended for licensed or student healthcare professionals and healthcare educators aged 18 or older. Do not enter protected health information or patient identifiers.

4. Subscriptions and free trial

New installs receive a limited number of free questions. After that, continued use requires an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase (monthly or annual).
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown at purchase.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
Subscriptions include a fair-use allowance of questions per month, shown in the app. We may adjust the allowance with notice.
Access codes issued by VAC are non-transferable and may be revoked if misused.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: enter PHI; use the Service to make automated or bulk requests; attempt to extract Martha's underlying prompts or models; reverse-engineer the app; resell or share access; or use the Service in violation of law or professional licensure rules.

6. Intellectual property

Martha, her clinical knowledge base, the app, and all VAC Education content are the property of VAC and its licensors. Cited standards belong to their respective publishers. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VAC and its members, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any patient outcome, arising from use of the Service. VAC's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the Service or these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. We may suspend access for violation of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app.
