Martha — AI Vascular Access Educator · iOS app and vaceducation.com · Effective September 2, 2026

Summary

Martha is designed so that we hold as little about you as possible. The iOS app has no account and no sign-in. Your questions and Martha's answers are stored only on your device; we do not keep chat transcripts on our servers. We ask you not to enter patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, or any other protected health information (PHI).

What the app sends to our servers

Your question text and the current conversation — sent to our server at vaceducation.com so Martha can answer. It is forwarded to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the reply and is not used to train their models under our commercial terms. We do not store the conversation after the answer is returned.
An anonymous install identifier — a random ID created on your device the first time the app runs. It tracks your free-question count and subscription status. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or device serial.
App version and platform (e.g., "iOS, 1.0.0") for compatibility and support.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm with Apple that your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives your anonymous install identifier and the Apple purchase receipt. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What we do not collect

No name, email, or phone number (unless you email us for support)
No location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers
No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
No sale of personal data — ever

Protected health information

Martha is an educational tool for licensed clinicians. Do not enter PHI. Martha is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, and the app is not designed to store or transmit PHI. If PHI is accidentally entered it is not retained on our servers after the answer is generated.

Data retention and deletion

Conversations live only on your device — delete them at any time from Past questions or Settings → Clear all saved questions, or by deleting the app. Server-side, we retain the anonymous install identifier and usage counters while the app is installed; email us to have that record deleted.

Children

Martha is intended for healthcare professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here and update the effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
